I spent over a decade as a Chief Engineer on superyachts from 30m to 80m. I've used every major yacht management system on the market. I've built elaborate spreadsheet systems at 2am because the "proper" software was too painful to use.
The pattern was always the same: software built to impress in demos, not to work onboard. Fifteen modules when you need three. Training courses for something that should be obvious. Features added to tick boxes, not solve problems.
